You know iPoint can manage Service Projects & Work Orders, but how does it work?
.
For existing customers, start in the CRM. Enter the customer record and create a service job under that parent record.
.
.
.
.
.
Go into the Service CRM record and navigate to Projects on the left, then click New Project. You can name it anything you like, but we recommend that you name it Service and the year (example Service 2025). This way, you can continue to use this job in the CRM to track each Service year with it’s own project. That will keep things organized and if you’re offering service plans, it’ll make it easy to see how many hours were spent each year.
Now that you have your Service Project for this year, you can create a Work Order appropriate. Remember to create the WO directly from the Project so that they are all interconnected.
.
.
.
You will invoice from the Project level and be prompted to add any time and parts/items added.
Utilizing this process will help you keep WO’s, trips to your client organized and ensure you keep up on what was billed or needs to be billed.
We know, we know, it almost seems too easy!
