With the Electronic Signature Portal, you can collect signatures from your customers for Proposals and Change Orders online. A PDF of the Proposal or Change Order is saved in the iPoint Web Portal with a unique, secure link sent to your customer via email. The customer clicks on the link to the Web Portal, accepts or declines the proposal, as well as signs and comments.
VOILA! No more sending paper documents and waiting for snail mail to return the signed document. iPoint is updated and with their signature immediately!
Setup
To set up E-Signatures in iPoint, follow these steps:
- Check Enable Electronic Signature Proposals and Change Orders in Settings > Module Settings > Proposals > Options
- Setup the Web Portal: Settings > Module Settings > Proposals (tab) > Web Portal (tab)
- Verify that email has been configured in Settings > Module Settings > Proposals (tab) > Email (tab)
- Setup your users’ signatures: Settings > Users > Bio
Using E-Signatures
To send a proposal to your customer for them to sign electronically, go to: Proposals > Reports (tab) > Client Proposal > Options (button) > Export (tab) and click on the Save & Email Link button. This is located in the E-Signature Version section;
To view a client’s signature and acceptance details, open Proposals > Docs/Assignments. The signature will be stored in the E-Signature Proposal section.
