iPoint Online Features FAQ

Unfortunately, there are some things in iPoint Online that don’t work. Some are things iPoint is actively working to improve/build. Some of these elements are FileMaker limitations that iPoint doesn’t have control over. Some are elements that iPoint may work on down the road, but the amount of time to build currently outweighs the demand (we’d rather spend our time developing other high-priority feature requests the community wants).

What iPoint Is Working On

• Designer
  • Designer works ok in iPoint Online, but we are still optimizing it
  • If multiple users are adding to different proposals, the Designer will freeze while the other user adds products.
• Drop Down Lists
  • These work in iPoint Online, but you can’t scroll down them – you have to click an arrow to arrow down them. It’s really annoying on long lists.
  • We are working to cover those to open a searchable window (like we do with Sales Tax and Sales Rep selection on a Proposal).
  • While we are doing this, we will also work to allow multiple selections of filters in the Designer (so, for example, you can select 3 locations to filter in the designer)
• Bulk Import of Media and Docs
  • We think we can also add this for mobile devices!
• Selecting the Calendar Color of the WO Status does not work
  • It displays fine on the calendar, you just can’t adjust the color in Settings > Pop-Up Lists
  • Adjusting the calendar color for users DOES work

What iPoint Doesn’t Have Control Over

• Client Proposal Page Numbers and Table of Contents
  • FileMaker doesn’t have a way for us to get page numbers on the client proposal (or any PDF) when connected via Web.
  • We know this is a hindrance and we are always on the lookout for work arounds, but at this point there aren’t any.
• Right Mouse Click menu does not exist
  • For Copy/Paste you need to use keyboard shortcuts
  • Not a way to edit font, color, size, etc. of text
• Copying and Pasting of images/files does not work even when using keyboard shortcuts

What iPoint May Work On Down the Road

• Syncing to QB Desktop does not work
  • Syncing to QB Online works just fine!
• Viewing Previous Announcements does not work
