Throughout settings, you will find a list of Merge Fields that you can use to personalize various system-generated documents. Primarily used in customer proposal areas, merge fields take information from a customer record and input them into documents.

These merge fields are utilized in:

Here is a description of each merge field found throughout the iPoint software:

  • Customer Full Name: this is a smart field and will insert the customer’s first name & spouse name plus last name if the customer is marked as Person. If the customer is marked Company, then the Company name will be inserted instead. – taken from CRM > Customer Details
  • Customer Job/Name: customer’s last name, first name – taken from the project/sales order Customer Name ( Bill To )
  • Job Name: the name of the proposal/sales order – taken from the Proposal/Sales Order > Proposal/Sales Order Name
  • Customer First Name: customer’s first name – taken from CRM > Customer Details > First Name field
  • Customer Partner First Name: the first name of the Partner – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Partner name field
  • Customer Last Name: customer’s last name – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Last Name field
  • Black Triangle Customer Job Position: the contacts job position – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Job Position – New in 10.0804
  • Customer Company: the company name – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Company
  • Customer Main Phone: customer’s phone – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Contact Methods > Main Phone
  • Customer Mobile: customer’s mobile number – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Contact Methods > Mobile
  • Customer Email: customer’s email address – taken from CRM > Customer Details > Contact Methods > Main Email

  • Alt Customer Full Name: the Optional Related Customer on the proposal/sales order, first name & spouse name plus last name – taken from CRM > Customer Details

  • PO Number: the customer’s purchase order number – taken from Proposal > Proposal Info > Purchase Order field
  • Ref #: the proposal reference number – taken from Proposal > Ref Number field
  • Scope: the scope of work taken from the Proposal > Setup > Scope of Work (tab)
  • Revision #: the proposal revision number – taken from Proposal > Revisions > current revision number
  • Revision Description: the revision description – taken from Proposal > Revisions > current revision description field
  • Grand Total: the total of the active change order when printing a Current Change Order report from the Sales Order – taken from Sales Order > Change Orders > Active Change Order Total
  • Page #: a system generated page number to go on the bottom of your page

  • Black Triangle Line Items: lists the line items on a proposal. Each line includes the Quantity, Item, and the first 50 characters of the item’s description

  • Margin Adjustment: the total margin adjustment – as setup on Proposal > Proposal Info > Margin Adjustment % field and checkboxes

  • Misc Parts: the total of Miscellaneous Parts modifier – as set up on the Proposal > Proposal Info > Misc Parts % field and checkboxes
  • Custom Mod 1: the total of Custom Modifier 1 – as set up on the Proposal > Proposal Info > Custom Mod 1 % field and checkboxes
  • Custom Mod 2: the total of Custom Modifier 2 – as set up on the Proposal > Proposal Info > Custom Mod 2 % field and checkboxes
  • Discount 1: the total of Discount 1 – as set up on the Proposal > Proposal Info > Discount 1 % field and checkboxes

  • Discount Combined: the total of both discount fields
  • Tax: the total tax – calculated using the Tax Rate from Proposals > Proposal Info > Tax Rate drop-down and the taxable checkboxes on each line item for labor and parts
  • Grand Total: the total of the proposal/sales order – taken from Proposal/Sales Order > Designer > Grand Total field
