The Invoice Commission Report displays commissions calculated under the old, legacy version of commissions. These commissions were decommissioned in version 9.0416, but we leave these instructions here as some companies continue to utilize them.

Note: By default, the Invoice Commission Report is unavailable unless you use the old legacy commissions. To see these legacy reports, check the box in Settings > Module Settings > Commissions > Show Legacy Commission Reports

Invoice Commission ReportInvoice Commission Report

The Invoice Commission Report shows how much money is due to your sales staff based on their sales on invoices. Invoice commissions are from projects, work orders, or the inventory module. Invoices generated from sales orders are not included here. For commissions on sales orders view the Sales Order Commissions.

The report shows:

  • Invoice Number – the unique serial number of the invoice
  • Customer – the name of the customer listed on the invoice
  • % Paid – what percent of the total invoice has been paid
  • Parts – the dollar amount of parts sold on the invoice
  • Labor – the dollar value of labor included on the invoice
  • Parts Commission – how much commission is due to the salesperson for the total parts sold on the invoice
  • Labor Commission – how much commission is due based on the labor sold
  • Total Commission – the total of the parts and labor commission
  • Due Commission – the amount due to the salesperson based on the paid percentage of the total invoice
  • Paid Commission – how much commission has already been paid to the salesperson
  • Totals – the bottom of the page shows the totals for each column on the entire report

The Options button lets you filter and sort the Invoice Commission Report.

  • Invoice From Date – choose a date to display invoices entered on or after that date
  • Invoice To Date – choose an end date to display invoices entered on or before that date
  • Invoice Filter Status – choose a status from the dropdown
    • Credit Used – shows invoices where a customer credit was applied to the invoice
    • Not Submitted – shows invoices that have not been marked submitted
    • Paid in Full – shows invoices with a zero balance due
    • Submitted – shows invoices that have been marked as submitted to the customer
  • Invoice Filter Sales Person – use the dropdown menu to pick a salesperson to display only their sales
  • Only Balance Due – from the dropdown menu, choose
    • False – showing invoices that do not have a balance due
    • True – only show invoices with a balance due
  • Sales Order Technical Designer – use the dropdown to select a user who is listed as the technical designer on the sales order
  • Only Past Due – pick a past due filter from the dropdown menu
    • False – shows only current invoices
    • True – shows invoices with a past due balance

Note: These options are also available when first clicking the report in the Reports module. So you can set the filters before generating the report for the first time.

Buttons

  • Print button – prints the report using your computers print dialogue
  • Save button – saves a PDF of the report into the computer directory of your choosing
  • Update Report button – redisplays the report using the filters set above
  • Close button – closes the Summarize and Filter Settings window
