You are probably already familar with the reports in a SO that allow you to see the comparison between what you sold on a SO and what time was actually used.
This new report is great because it allows you to capture all SOs or just a date range to allow you to see the data in a single report. It will also show you those linked SOs and the totals for them, combined, of course!
From left to right, you will see the following information:
- SO Reference Number
![]()
- SO Name
- Labor Phases on the SO
- Hours Sold
- Hours Used – if this number is red, that means that there is a labor phase on the Project that is not on the SO – Create a $0 CO with that phase to have it show
- Used Percent
- Hours Remaining
The default sort order is Customer, then Parent SO. You can make changes to the view, by clicking Options. You have multiple sort and filter options available to you. If you use Linked Sales Orers at all, we recommend using the Parent SO sort so that the time on the project matches with the time sold on the sales orders.
You can report for a speciic Sales Rep, time period, or even a combination of any of the filters to capture the exact information you need.
!This report contains a LOT of data – if you are using the desktop version and are not local to the server, this report will take a bit longer than most to gather the data and load, so please be patient! Or, use iPoint online.
*Keep in mind, if you are adjusting SOs with internal COs at the end to correct profitability, those hours are counted as sold – so, this report may look as if your sold vs. used is extremely close . . . even though it may not have been in reality! We highly recommend utilizing a labor phase called Labor Over Under for these adustments so that you can isolate that phase in this report to see how much adjusting you’re doing.
